Engineer/Producer
Chris Cosgrove is an Engineer/Producer with unparalleled enthusiasm for recording and a resonance for alt rock sounds.  Chris started his journey as a musician
playing drums and guitar for nationally signed acts Zoom and -Dis. As a musician, Chris' bands were sent into the studio with indie rock pioneer Producer/Engineers
Steve Albini, Brad Wood and Greg Sage. It was this work on his own records that launched his love affair with audio recording. After his work as a touring musician
Chris moved to Chicago to become a live engineer at the fabled Cabaret Metro. His experience there as front of house engineer paired him with rock acts like No
Doubt, Bob Dylan, Massive Attack, Silverchair, Better than Ezra, Filter, Wilco, Sun Volt, Liz Phair, Stone Temple Pilots and Smashing Pumpkins.  Chris left the Windy City
for the sunny skies of Los Angeles garnering a coveted assistant spot at the world-renowned recording facility Ocean Way Recorders. Ocean Way exposed him to
Producer/Engineers the likes of Allen Sides, Rick Rubin and Jack Joseph Puig. Chris assisted on projects with the Foo Fighters, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Elvis
Costello. Tiring of being an assistant he took his experience to the next level by recording LA garage bands in his own home studio armed with a mix of state of the art
equipment, vintage gear and Pro Tools. This stint had him working with popular area acts like Tram Driver, Vanessa Daffron and Rayon as well as writing and
recording music for the New Line film “The Job.”  With sights set on recording music full-time and being a Midwestern boy at heart, Chris and family relocated to
Kansas City to further his engineering career. Settling in at Chapman Recording Chris worked in several genres of music; gospel, jazz and rap acts including, Tech
Nine, Juvenile, E-40, Skatterman and Snugbrim, D-Mo and T-Wes. Longing for his rock roots, Chris found a home at Blacklodge Recording in Eudora recording artists

Prospect Avenue, Outlaw Jim, CrapCorps, Portal, Textbook, Iris Pattern, Chloe Bridges, Addictive Behavior, Gryphyn, Tablets of Orion, Aeolian, chemical ali, and The
